Bank PO:  Work pressure is HIGH as bank PO deals directly with the general public.

Work includes General Banking, Administrative Task, or the other task assigned by the management.

As a Bank PO, you'll undergo rigorous training to know the nitty-gritty of Banking. Training for accounting, marketing, investment, billing, finance, human resources, agriculture banking, general banking are going to be provided.

SSC CGL:  In SSC CGL, you'll have a correct work schedule.

Proper timing means No extra hour work (Except within the case of field postings i.e Raids, Audits etc)

FIVE days working

Banks: There will be a correct working schedule but thanks to heavy workload, you'll need to work even after closing hours.

Conditions are hectic during the hour (in the month of March)

Six days working, 2nd and 4thSaturday off and other govt holidays as per negotiable instruments.

3. Transfer

SSC CGL: Transfers mostly happen every 4-5 years (except CSS posts).

BANKS: Transfers mostly happen every 2-5 years. In both Organisations, transfer is on the idea of seniority/ promotion.

4. Salary & Growth

After the 7th pay commission rule, salaries in each department increases.

FUTURE GROWTH

SSC CGL: Promotions in SSC takes place every 5-6 years.

As per your post, you'll be promoted to subsequent higher level.

Income Tax Inspector will become tax Officer, then Assistant Commissioner, then Deputy Commissioner and eventually Commissioner.

Assistant in CSS are going to be promoted to subsequent post – SO (which may be a Group-B Gazetted Officer post) and may go up to Joint Secretary.

Bank PO

Promotions in Banks happen every 2-3 years within the following scale:

·       Assistant Manager

·       Branch Manager

·       AGM

·       GM

Promotion in banks is quicker because the Banking Policies ensure a gentle procedure for promoting a probationary officer at a daily period of time Whereas in SSC CGL, everything depends upon your concerned department.

5. social station in Society

Every fourth person is within the bank and hence people don’t consider it as a logo of status.

SSC CGL job features a status in society (with power in hand). there's also a Gazetted officer job in SSC CGL (Assistant Audit Officer).

So, Social status-wise, SSC CGL job is best than Bank PO.

SSC CGL: Pros

·       High chances of Promotion

·       Respect within the society

·       Immense Power

·       Overall exposure

SSC CGL: Cons

·       Posting distant from home.

·       Bureaucratic Pressure

At last, it all depends upon you, which job you select for yourself supported your interest.
