SSC CGL: Work
pressure is a smaller amount and therefore the job is more relaxed as compared
thereto of a Bank Probationary Officer.
You have to
perform various tasks that include supervision, Administrative Task, or the
other post-related work assigned by the senior officials.
Bank PO: Work
pressure is HIGH as bank PO deals directly with the general public.
Work includes
General Banking, Administrative Task, or the other task assigned by the
management.
As a Bank PO,
you'll undergo rigorous training to know the nitty-gritty of Banking. Training
for accounting, marketing, investment, billing, finance, human resources,
agriculture banking, general banking are going to be provided.
Working
hours
SSC CGL: In
SSC CGL, you'll have a correct work schedule.
Proper timing
means No extra hour work (Except within the case of field postings i.e Raids,
Audits etc)
FIVE days
working
Banks: There will be a correct working schedule but
thanks to heavy workload, you'll need to work even after closing hours.
Conditions are
hectic during the hour (in the month of March)
Six days working,
2nd and 4thSaturday off and other govt holidays as per negotiable
instruments.
3. Transfer
SSC CGL: Transfers mostly happen every 4-5 years
(except CSS posts).
BANKS: Transfers mostly happen every 2-5 years. In
both Organisations, transfer is on the idea of seniority/ promotion.
4. Salary
& Growth
After the 7th pay
commission rule, salaries in each department increases.
FUTURE
GROWTH
SSC CGL: Promotions in SSC takes place every 5-6 years.
As per your post,
you'll be promoted to subsequent higher level.
Assistant
Enforcement Officer (AEO) will become Enforcement Officer in 5-6years.
Income Tax
Inspector will become tax Officer, then Assistant Commissioner, then Deputy
Commissioner and eventually Commissioner.
Assistant in CSS
are going to be promoted to subsequent post – SO (which may be a Group-B
Gazetted Officer post) and may go up to Joint Secretary.
Bank PO
Promotions in
Banks happen every 2-3 years within the following scale:
